Paul Giamatti’s ‘Cold Souls’

The film ‘Cold Souls’ starring Paul Giamatti in the lead role is both written and directed by Sophie Barthes of short films ‘Zimove vesilya’ and ‘Happiness’. The film will be premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January, which will starts from January 15, 2009 to January 25, 2009.

It is a metaphysical tragicomedy film. Paul Giamatti is the playing the role of an engineer in an existential crisis decides to explore "soul extraction" as a relief from the burdens of daily life. The flick also stars David Strathairn, Emily Watson, and Lauren Ambrose. The movie is going to release in 2009.

Sundance film festival- bloody horror film ‘Donkey Punch'

The ‘Donkey Punch’ is a thriller film starring Nichola Burley, Tom Burke, Jaime Winstone and Julian Morris is directed by debutant Oliver Blackburn. The screenplay was written by Blackburn and David Bloom.

The flick is about three women and three young men, who start vanishing on a boat in the shore of Spain. One of the men, Josh (Julian Morris) performs a sex move known as a 'donkey punch' on one of the women, resulting in her death from a broken neck. The flick is described as a sexy and violent.

The film is going to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, which will starts from 15th January 2009. The flick was picked up by Magnet Releasing as part of the Six Shooter Film Series. Crown International Pictures is distributing the film ‘Donkey Punch’ and is set to release on January 23rd, 2009.
